Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and RiekApps (sole proprietorship, India; “we”, “us”), the operator of Shaadi Ka Nyota at shaadikanyota.com (the “Service”). By creating an invitation, paying, or sharing a link made here, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

• The Service lets you make a wedding invitation web page (an “Invitation”): a design, an opening animation, the couple’s and families’ names, functions and venues, photos, a story, a reply (RSVP) form, and one link per guest.
• Designing and previewing is free and needs no account. Publishing a live link requires an account and a one-time payment.
• Guests open the Invitation in a browser. They need no account and nothing is installed on their phone.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
• You sign in with Google or an email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it. Tell us at once if you believe someone else is using it.
• One account may hold several Invitations; each live Invitation is a separate purchase.

3. Price and payment

• Publishing one Invitation costs the price shown at checkout, currently ₹499 (launch price till 31 October; list price ₹999), inclusive of GST. There is no subscription and no per-guest charge.
• Payment is processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Dodo issues the tax invoice and handles the card, UPI or net-banking transaction. We never receive your payment credentials.
• The purchase is for the Invitation it was made from. Payment confirmation reaches us automatically; if it does not within a few minutes, contact us and we publish it by hand against Dodo’s record.
• Prices may change for future purchases. A price change never affects an Invitation already paid for.

4. What you get, and for how long

• A live Invitation at the link you choose (subject to availability and our naming rules), one link per guest name you add, the reply dashboard, and unlimited edits.
• The Invitation stays live until six months after the main wedding date you entered, then it is taken offline and its data deleted under our privacy policy. If the wedding date moves after publishing, write to us and we move the expiry with it, up to 12 months from the purchase.
• Fair use: an Invitation is for one wedding (its functions and receptions). Limits apply to photo count and size, number of functions and guest-list length; the editor shows them. Using one purchase for several weddings, or re-selling links, is not permitted.
• We may add, change or retire designs, openings and features over time. A published Invitation keeps working as published, though we may update it for security or compatibility.

5. Refunds and cancellations

The Refund Policy is part of these terms. In short: a full refund within 7 days of purchase if the Invitation has not been published; no refund once the link is live, because the service has then been delivered. A chargeback raised instead of a refund request takes the Invitation offline while it is disputed.

6. Your content and responsibilities

• You keep ownership of the names, text and photos you add. You give us the non-exclusive, worldwide licence needed to store, process and display them to the people you share the link with, and to make the link preview (title, description, picture) that messaging apps show. The licence ends when the Invitation is deleted, except for backups kept for up to 30 days.
• You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, including the consent of the people in the photos and of the guests whose names you add. You are responsible for the guest names and reply data you collect, and for keeping them only as long as needed.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, hateful, or that infringes someone else’s rights; do not use the Service to send spam or to impersonate anyone. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks this, without refund.
• Guest replies are messages from your guests to you. We store them for you but do not moderate them.

7. Our content

The designs, illustrations, animations, typography, code, names (“Shaadi Ka Nyota”) and everything else that makes up the Service belong to RiekApps or our licensors. Your purchase lets you use them inside your Invitation; it does not let you copy, extract, print at scale, or reuse them for another product or service. Ganesh and other religious motifs are offered as options and can be turned off in the editor.

8. Availability and third parties

• We run the Service on Google Cloud (Firebase) in India and aim to keep it up around the clock, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is done at quiet hours.
• WhatsApp, Instagram, iMessage and other apps decide for themselves how they show a link preview and may cache an old one. Google Maps, payment networks and browsers are outside our control. Music, if offered, plays only after a guest’s tap, as browsers require.
• Links on the shaadikanyota.com domain depend on that domain remaining with us; if it ever changes, every live Invitation is redirected to the new address for the rest of its live period.

9. Liability

• The Service is provided as is. To the extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss: a missed function, a guest who did not open the link, a reply that did not arrive, printing you did from the page, or decisions taken on the basis of the reply counts.
• Our total liability for any claim connected with an Invitation is limited to the amount you paid for that Invitation.
• Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law.

10. Ending the agreement

• You can delete an Invitation or your account at any time from the dashboard or by asking us. Deletion is permanent and does not create a refund right beyond section 5.
• We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, for fraud or chargeback abuse, or if required by law. If we end the Service as a whole, live Invitations stay reachable for at least 90 days or until their live period ends, whichever is sooner, and unpublished purchases are refunded.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes and, for material changes, we show a notice on the dashboard. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms; the terms in force at purchase keep governing that purchase’s price and live period.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Write to us first (section 13); most issues are settled within a day or two. Otherwise the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach the consumer forum of your district.
